Capital Campaign to Continue the Three-Fold Mission of Christ

In the constant rush of life, it is easy to forget our purpose as Christian people. Our Christian purpose begins at baptism. The priest or deacon says to the newly baptized, “As Christ was anointed priest, prophet, and king, so may you live always as a member of his body.” Baptized and anointed, we carry on the three-fold mission of Christ as prophetic people, priestly people, and kingly people.

Since its dedication back in 1921, St. Rose of Lima Parish has been a contributor to the three-fold mission of Christ.  It is time to re-create three new facilities to meet the needs of our ever-growing parish community and to build them in such a way that will allow the Mission of Christ to be accomplished.

De Flores Center (Opens in September, 2010) Named after Isabel de Flores (St. Rose of Lima, Peru,) this center promotes the Prophetic Mission of the Church.  The words inside the foyer of the center captures the purpose of the building: “To know Christ and make Him known.” (To learn more and/or contribute to the De Flores Center, click here)

De Porres Center (Campaign begins in May of 2011) Honoring Saint Martin de Porres (contemporary of St. Rose), this projected facility will promote the Kingly Mission of Christ.  This two-story hall will gather our many cultures together as one in God’s Kingdom. (Read More)

St. Rose of Lima Church A new Church building, honoring the first Saint of the Americas, promotes the Priestly Mission of the Church. It is projected to house as many as 1500 worshipers who gather for prayer, Eucharist, and the Sacraments.  (Read More)
