De Porres Center
Saint Martin de Porres was a contemporary of St. Rose of Lima and lived only a block away from her home. A brother in a Dominican congregation in Lima, Peru, St. Martin is the Patron Saint of people of mixed race. Recognizing the many races and cultures in our parish, the De Porres Center promotes the Kingly Mission of Christ and His Church, where all are welcome. This will be a two story building with facilities for an indoor lunch facility for the school and a main hall with larger capacity for seating and dinner occupancy. It will have a complete kitchen on the first floor and both floors will have the capability to be divided up into four separate meeting rooms.
A Capital Campaign for the De Porres Center is scheduled for the Spring of 2011.
